Event Description
OFF SEASON is a two-day dance festival that brings some of Canada’s most compelling dance artists to one of the country’s most beautiful rural settings. The festival features five diverse works spanning ballet, contemporary, and Afro-fusion, including pieces presented by Citadel + Compagnie, choreographer Jera Wolfe, National Ballet of Canada corps member Emma Ouellet, Quinte Ballet School of Canada, and Esie Mensah Creations. Alongside evening performances, free outdoor movement workshops invite audiences of all ages and abilities to experience dance firsthand. Whether you’re a lifelong dance lover or experiencing live performance for the first time, OFF SEASON is a rare opportunity to witness the full range of Canadian dance excellence—right at home on Wolfe Island!
Schedule for each day:
3-5pm – Free dance/movement workshops on a drop-in basis
6:45-7:15pm – Pre-show panel discussion with dancers, choreographers, and artistic directors on the outdoor stage
7:30-9pm – Performance on the outdoor stage
Friday only:
9-11pm – Celebratory afterparty inside the Hotel Wolfe Island
